I restarted in safe mode with networking and it took me right back to the failure to configure windows features? Is this also a problem that it says failure to configure windows features rather than Updates?

DjCole100 says:

For windows 7 it would not let me into safe mode the failure configuring windows updates reverting changes do not turn off your computer still came up. i waited half hour and it still
didn't get me into safe mode. luckily i had the windows 7 install disc. so i went to do a fresh install and in that window was a recovery option so i did the recovery option.
scanned for effected program and found that it was net frameworks 4.4. and a display driver so i set to a date before the windows update and it worked.. got my computer back… yay.

Venita reich says:

There were about 100 things listed under my son Windows 7 laptop that I had to individually delete does this mean he has to reinstall all those updates again? If so, won't he get the same problem?
