The iPad Air 2 screen replacement is a little less tedious than the older iPad air as you do not have to worry about cleaning the inside of the digitizer and Lcd. There is a small amount of soldering required and the home button assembly is slightly more complex then in the previous versions. If you take your time and follow along with the video you will have this repaired in no time.

Nice job. Those are the slickest gloves I've ever seen and they work with the touch screen! What brand are they? Thanks!
The white part of the new screen looks yellowish, typical aftermarket chinese part.
The home button I bought was faulty and ended up re-installing original although I now have error message "Touch ID cannot be activated" – moreover I am going to attempt to do the little soldering job left out in the video, can you advise on what type of soldering iron to buy to do this please ?
Great video ! Did have to transfer a piece for the camera which wasn't included. Touch ID not working but I'm guessing this is because I bought a new home button – now trying to find the solution ! ๐
I can't wait till they can add sound to films and we get talkies!

My iPad Air 2 is not working nothing is left
Hi! How thick is the adhesive tape you used?
Very good video. Would like to have seen the desoldering bit. All in all though a good walk through. Far better than many I have seen on youTube.
Would you have any idea why my motherboard has an oval cutout towards the top? I see that your ipad might be a cellular version.
This is a pain of a process with a semi shattered screen. I want to save the LCD and resell it because it's an original Screen. It hopes to sell it I can make more money off this repair.
Though it's not my first time fixing an iPad it is the first time with an IPad Air. However, since it's just a couple months old the adhesive is at it's strongest point.
I am keeping the the screen and I pad on to prevent me from over heating. Luckily as I almost burned the corner it cold down. I almost wanted to die.
Overall getting just a corner lifted was a process alone. I used a box cutter and slowly pushed up against the screen. With enough lift I was able to put a decent size business card to hold it.
I watched half your video and I noticed you weren't putting any paper or playing cards to prevent it from going back down. You would have saved a lot of time. I saw you getting a bit impatient with it towards the end.
Overall thanks for the "how to" it saved my ass!
Nothing left out? What a joke 1:06:00
Good evening I followed the video for display replacement. After replacing the display reads me the sim but it gives me no service. What can I do?

I have an ipad air 2 but the problem is its not touching…which is the touch from the board because when i try the screen on my other same ipad its working.. Please help .are they the two square crystal near the coil nxt to the connectors?
All sorts of people are selling third party non OEM Apple parts. All versions of iPads are different and unless, you are experienced at this, DO NOT TRY IT. It is difficult and you will most likely ruin your iPad when one of the flex cables that is glued, everything is glued and it rips or you crack the digitizer, another $155. Now you need to source another part. The screen and the digitizer are replaced as a unit by Apple and by qualified 3rd parties on iPad Air 2s. It is very very easy to ruin your iPad. Therefore, pay the freight to Apple or a third party or just go buy a new one. You will spend money, hours of work and the third party repairs with leave you with an iPad that no longer has finger print recognition or wake sleep feature that the magnetic cover provides. Therefore, pay Apple to make the repair.

Wow. Well over an hour to fix it…. And that is knowing what to do. I would definitely take it to a Pro. It really makes you appreciate the work and cost of a professional job. I hate Apple for making it so hard to replace.
Thanks for the tutorial very helpful
appreciate your hard work
