—————————————-

This was supposed to be a “quick” iPhone 6 Plus touch defect repair. Since I did it on camera everything went wrong! The two phones I did after this one both went routine with no jumpers… go figure! I also spend some time talking about the Future Shield from iPad Rehab / Jessa Jones.

This will be the last touch IC video I do until the microscope camera is upgraded.. soon!

Timeline:
7:25 Cumulus vs Meson and iPad Rehab’s future shield
11:00 Removing Meson IC
Everything between – Jumpers – OMG – Seriously???
34:40 Installing IC
40:30 Apple logo, closing speech. I talk about why I’m not replacing both chips on every single iPhone 6+

It is often difficult to justify spending the time to record videos when the repairs need to keep moving.

Hello, is it worth it to repair an iPhone 6 with this problem? Or is it better to just buy another one, and how much lifetime does the phone have after repairing it? Thanks 🙂

Ive had two of these in the past week that once the ic is removed it's developed a short elsewhere. One just went completely crazy so I threw it in the recover later pile, but the one I have now I can't just do that! I know it's simple, but I'm struggling to find the short!
